Featured Application: Residential Putting Green Replacement in Plymouth, Michigan, Thanks to STI Great Lakes

This week’s Featured Application comes to us from the Great Lakes State.  Jim Petrarca with STI Great Lakes installed this beautiful residential putting green replacement in Plymouth, Michigan in the southeastern part of the state.

Jim designed this putting green for a former Athletics Director at the University of Michigan.

The team installed 2100 square feet of NP 50 as a replacement for the existing green.  They utilized the fringe that was already in place again for this green.  They also refreshed the cups, sleeves and pins.

The putting green surrounds a large oak tree and a beautiful flower bed.  The choice of synthetic turf eliminated the need for maintenance and chemicals in the backyard.

NP 50 is STI’s premium putting surface.  It’s cross-stitched construction creates the truest and smoothest roll of any synthetic putting surface on the market.

“It’s great to see the project through the design phase and have it turn out like this one did,” Petrarca said. “The client is incredibly happy, and so are his golf buddies!”
